Flemma Gård is located in the countryside just north of Linköping, approximately 18 minutes by car from the city centre and around 12 minutes from the E4 motorway at Linköping North. Berg Locks on the Göta Canal are only about five minutes away.
The location makes Flemma Gård a convenient stop between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, while still offering a peaceful rural setting surrounded by nature and overlooking Lake Roxen.
The lake view
Flemma Gård is set on elevated ground overlooking Lake Roxen, and all three holiday homes enjoy views towards the lake and surrounding countryside.
To the west, you can see the entrance to Berg Locks on the Göta Canal. During the summer, boats regularly pass across Lake Roxen on their way along the canal.
In the distance, the skyline of Linköping is visible across the water. Sunrises, evening light and moon reflections over the lake make the view especially beautiful at different times of day and throughout the year.
Some selected historical years
Flemma is first mentioned in written records in 1558, in a list referring to a farmer named Peder i Flema who belonged to the area of Vreta Kloster.
The main manor house was built between 1838 and 1844 by Johan Petter Wiborgh, a war councillor, and was designed by the renowned master builder Abraham Bengtsson Nyström.
Flemma Gård has been in the same family since 1920, when it was purchased by Ernst-David Törnell, managing director of the textile company Törnell & Ringström in Norrköping.

Flemma Gård is surrounded by varied countryside with forests, open landscapes and rich wildlife. Lake Roxen offers opportunities for swimming, fishing and enjoying life by the water, and several sandy beaches can be reached within about 10 minutes by car.
Nearby you will also find a golf course, illuminated running trails, mountain bike trails and a disc golf course. During snowy winters, cross-country skiing is available in the area.
Berg Locks and the Göta Canal are only about five minutes away and offer walking, cycling, restaurants and the opportunity to watch boats pass through one of the canal's most impressive lock systems.
